"...A company could “stump” Google, the search engine giant - particularly in a foreign market - and Guruji.com intends to do exactly that..."
These are the opening lines of Doug Caverly's story on Guruji.com, India's first search engine. Doug Caverly is a renowned technology journalist who writes on the latest in the field of Internet and search engines.
He goes on to say that - "The powerful backers that support Guruji could also put it in a position to do well".
He concludes by saying, "If you happen to live in India, or have an interest in the region, Guruji.com might be worth a look. It promises to offer a more focused view (in a geographic sense) than Google, and, considering some of the things Eric Schmidt has said recently, it may be time to find an alternative to the American engine, anyway."
We know we haven't arrived yet, but such words of encouragement do help us to push the peddle harder. Thank you Mr.Caverly.
